Sheet Metal Workers' International Association Disaster Relief Program
On September 21, 2009, Governor Perdue has issued a State of Emergency for the 17 counties of Georgia affected by the heavy rain and severe weather that passed through Georgia. The 17 counties are: Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Crawford, Dekalb, Douglas, Doesyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale, Stephens and Walker.
If you are a member in good standing of Sheet Metal Workers Local 85 living in any of the 17 counties in Georgia that have been listed in the "State of Emergency" areas and have sustained damage to your home due to the recent flood, please call the Local 85 office immediately. You may speak with Natalie or Claudine who will take your current contact information. A Local 85 Business Representative will quickly be in touch with you regarding procedures and application process for this International Disaster Relief Program.
