As you remember, Frankie had an automobile accident December 1,
2009. During the treatment for his
injuries they discovered he had a brain tumor.

Charles Partin, the father of Todd Partin passed away following a long illness with cancer. The funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 2009.
Retired member Jimmy L. Fleming, the father of Darrell
Fleming (current member) member passed away October 8, 2009. Mr. Fleming suffered a stroke approximately
five weeks ago and had been hospitalized since.
He died of complications from the stroke. The funeral arrangements will be made at 4:00
p.m. this afternoon (10/09/2009). As the

Member Barry Couch, a long time member of Local 85 passed away suddenly on March 22nd due to a massive heart attack. Marcus began his career with Local 85 in 1969, he graduated in 1973. Marcus took a withdrawal card in 1984 but had recently reinstated his membership. He is survived by his wife Robin Couch. The funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation Tuesday March 24, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held March 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Retired member Luis Ullrich passed away Friday February 20, 2009 following a lingering illness. He would have been 84 years old in May. The body was cremated and their will be no burial service, however there will be a memorial service on Saturday February 28, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Waldrip Road in Gainesville, GA. Mr. Jody Langley, the father of SMWIA Local 85 Member and Recording Secretary Steve Langley, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack. Funeral services are as follows:

Don Wilson lost his battle with cancer early Thursday (02/12/2009) morning. Don served SMWIA Local 85 well during his membership tenure. He began his membership in September 1969 as a Pre-Apprentice in the Apprenticeship Program. He became Recording Secretary in 1980 and served in that position until 1986. He was elected President in 1987 and Business Representative in 1991 which he filled until his retirement in August 1997. Don is the brother of SMWIA Local 85 member Larry Wilson who is an International Representative.

Mr. B.S (Shorty) Boggs passed away Wednesday from complications with pneumonia. He was ninety-two years old.
